X-ray imaging (also known as radiographic imaging) is a non-destructive method used to detect and map embedded materials within concrete slabs and structures. It's often required on sites where ground-penetrating radar (GPR) isn’t suitable—like when you need to scan from both sides of a slab, or when working with dense materials that interfere with GPR signals.
